Perhaps no season can prove how unpredictable intramural playoffs can be as much as the recently completed winter session. Both sports, dodgeball and floor hockey, held their championship matches earlier this week, with two more teams claiming this year’s champion t-shirt. However, if the first rounds of playoffs were any kind of prequel to the championship games, this appears to be the year of the underdog.
The final four teams for dodgeball included the top two seeds, Blitzkrieg 31 and American Heroes, respectively, who were joined by #5 Team Mugatu and the surprising #6 Jesse Krotzer.
For floor hockey, the top seeds, Las Tortugas and Case Closed were knocked out in the semi-finals, leaving #3 Stick2It and #5 Atlantic Division United to contend for the title.
