Softball to head down south for Spring Break

This year’s women’s softball team looks to better itself this upcoming week. For the team’s spring break trip, the team is going to travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the first time in program history.

The Eagles have always gone on a spring trip, but this year in Myrtle Beach, they will be facing off with some tough teams. They will be playing Dakota State University twice, SUNYIT, PSU-Harrisburg, Bluefield College, Randolph College, Southern Vermont and NC Wesleyan.

“I’m looking for this spring break trip to spring board us into the regular season as we start conference play the weekend we come back at Misericordia,” head coach Brittany Stroop said. “The girls will have a lot of down time in the afternoons and nights as we play all morning games. There are a lot of opportunities to have team building activities, develop our team and for the parents that travel, there will be a lot of family time.”

With a ten hour ride down and back, the softball team will have plenty of time to reflect on games and bond with one another.
