Men’s Lacrosse

After finishing off last season with an impressive 13-5 record, a MAC championship  and their first appearance at the NCAA tournament, the men’s lacrosse team is expected to do great things this year. Having only lost one starting senior, the team has a number of strong returning players on the roster.
Head coach Kevin Wallace is anticipating another impressive year for Eastern and is hoping to go even farther than last year. Wallace says, “I am looking forward to seeing how our senior heavy team reacts after such a good year last year. They are going to be hungrier than before.”
Many of the returning players also have high hopes for the coming season. Junior goalie, Patrick Groschan is anxiously anticipating the season’s starting match. Groschan says, “We have a very talented group of guys and I think that we can accomplish great things. I am most excited…to go out and compete with my brothers side by side against another team, [and] to go out and win.”
Senior mid-fielder, A.J. Ryan, is also eager to begin the schedule. Ryan says, “I can’t wait to see my boys score and make a good play…we’re working hard and constantly trying to get better.”
Having started the season with two consecutive victories, the team will host Hood University on March 2nd. Coach Wallace shares, “We have our largest team ever, and I believe, our most talented team ever, and we need to find a way as coaches to put all that together and put this team in a position to be successful.”
