A season of gained experience and growth came to an end for the Eastern Women’s Basketball team in their conference semifinal matchup against DeSales on February 16. DeSales built a lead early in the game, and the Eagles were never able to surmount it, falling by a score of 67-52.
The good news for the team is that (barring unforeseen circumstances) every member of the 2012-2013 squad will be back in action for the 2013-2014 campaign (not to mention the 2014-2015 season).
Another piece of good news for the Eagles is that Sophomore Meghan Nowak has been recognized for the second consecutive year as a member of the Freedom Conference First Team. Two years into her career, Nowak has already netted 925 points, putting her in great position to break into the prestigious 1000 point club early next season.
