Midnight Madness marked the day the Eagles women and men’s basketball teams could officially begin organized practicing.
What better way to start the season than by celebrating with students, alumni and faculty?
The packed gymnasium featured a faculty, staff and alumni basketball game, a three-point shooting contest, a $10,000 half-court shooting contest and the introduction of the brand new cheering section that has been dubbed “the dirty birds.”
Returning veterans of both basketball teams, along with the freshman recruits, were introduced to the highly anticipated Eagles fans.
The team’s motto is “developing tradition.” Truly this year is looking bright for the Eagles as they take flight and soar for the ’04-05 season.
