I was absolutely thrilled with the most recent publication of The Waltonian (Issue 9). Its coverage of campus news, as well as its reporting on national/iinternational events was representative of what a first class school newspaper should produce.
John Stapleford’s excellent coverage of the Social Security proposals of George Bush was the first clear and concise presentation of the matter I have read anywhere. The editorial columns were insightful.
Quality and scope are the major criteria by which our school is judged by visitors. I am sure that visitors seeing your paper will come away with a sense that Eastern is a school with the kind of intellectual sophistication that warrants their attention.
I’ve been around Eastern from its earliest days and I believe the present Waltonian is the best publication ever.
