Speaking of streaks, Volleyball has won 27 sets in a row! Senior Captain Rachel Wenger talks about upholding the legacy of EU Volleyball. “Courtney (Reinhold) and Maria (Horning) definitely brought a lot to the table in years past – not only their skill, but also their work ethic” said Wenger, “They made an impact on setting a standard that is expected from our program, and that is definitely something that we can continue.” With a 9-2 record, the Volleyball team has reclaimed the top spot in the Freedom Conference.

If you missed the Women’s Soccer game against LVC last Saturday, you are to be pitied. The Eagles fended off attack after attack, before finally snatching the lead on an incredible curling strike from outside the 18 by Senior Amy Thomas. The victory puts the Eagles at 3-4-1, as they emerge from a veritable gauntlet of harsh competition. Putting the early losses into perspective, senior captain Katelyn Rittenhouse said, “They were very tight games that gave us the opportunity to identify our strengths and weaknesses. We feel confidently that if we meet these teams again, we will have developed as a team and end these games with a different result.” The team begins its conference season on the 29th at DeSales.
