Last year the women’s lacrosse team won the PAC Championship by beating Cabrini with only 33 seconds left in the game. Some other exciting wins of last season came against Rowan University and Lycoming College.
Hopefully the team will win their third PAC title this season. According to Coach Azzarano, the team is working hard, and all of the women are dedicated.
“We are a young team; we have no seniors, but there is a solid group of juniors,” Azzarano said.
This season is beginning with big games against sizeable opponents; the first game is against Lycoming, and the third game is against Cabrini.
Some players to watch this season include junior Jessie Basch, junior Sarah Hager and junior goalkeeper Kimberly Campbell.
