“The Sadie Hawkins Dance, in my khaki pants, there’s nothing better oh, oh, oh, the girls ask the guys, it’s always a surprise, there’s nothing better, baby do you like my sweater?”

The hottest event at Eastern this February is straight out of a Relient K song.

The Student Government Association’s freshman class, partnering with The Student Activities Board, is hosting the Sadie Hawkins Dance this year, on Feb. 22 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the rec gym.

Although this dance isn’t the typical Sadie Hawkins day that Relient K sang about, it is still a good chance to do something fun and out of the ordinary on a Friday night.

Student Activities Board Entertainment Coordinator Samantha Morrow said, “Girls are more than welcome to ask guys as their date, but we don’t want to make it just couples but something for everyone to go to.”

The cost to get in is $1 and Eastern photo I.D.’s are required for admission. Look out for flyers around campus and remember to dress to impress.
