The Eastern Men’s Soccer team will be in the Freedom conference playoffs provided they win their Monday game at Wilkes. Men’s soccer, currently 10-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the Freedom Conference, remains optimistic as the players try to guess their fate. “I think we’ll make it, the conference is tough, but I’m confident in getting back to the MAC championship,” senior Jon Crowder said. Winning seven of their last ten, some of the players feel their games becoming a bit more personal. “I haven’t beaten Desales yet. We lost to them last year in the championship. If we can get in and beat them, I’d really like that,” sophomore Brandon Reichart said. If Eastern wins and Kings beats Manhattanville, then Eastern will be the fourth seed and Kings will be the third. If Eastern wins and Kings loses or ties, Eastern will be the third seed and Misericordia will be the fourth seed, provided the latter defeats Del Val. If the Eagles win on Monday, they will resume play when the Freedom Conference playoffs start November 2nd.
