The only team to go off campus for Homecoming, cross country ran at the Gwynedd-Mercy Invitational at Fort Washington State Park.
Starting at 10:30 a.m., the women’s team finished fifth out of eight teams and was only three points away from fourth place. Senior Courtney Brennan led the team with a time of 21:47 and a 14th overall finish; first-year Whitney Kerner was second with a time of 22:15.
“This is our toughest course of the season,” Head Coach Eric Mundy said in an email interview. “Almost the entire first mile is uphill, and there is a huge hill at the end of mile two.”
The men’s team finished sixth out of 10. Sophomore Davis Rideout was the first finisher for the team and first-year Warren Bowman took second.
