The first annual Main Line Restaurant Week starts Sept. 27 and will run through Oct. 3. There are currently 33 participating restaurants, and more are added every day. Restaurant Week takes place throughout the western suburb region to celebrate all suburban restaurants.

Sarah Lockard, founder of Main Line Restaurant Week and publisher of aroundmainline.com, expects a great outcome for this event.

“Restaurant Week was announced in May and the response on Facebook and Twitter was awesome, which gives a feel of community though out the whole western suburb region,” Lockard said.

Restaurants will offer menus priced at $15, $20, $30 and $40 per person containing the chefs’ greatest three-course meals consisting of one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert.

Morton’s The Steakhouse, located in the King of Prussia Mall, is one of the restaurants taking part in Restaurant Week.

“This is the first ever Main Line Restaurant Week, and we are most certain that it will bring business to all restaurants,” said Nicole Morganstern, Sales and Marketing Manager at Morton’s The Steakhouse.

With the help from great sponsors like opentable.com and 95.7 BEN-FM radio, this event promises to be the largest dining event in the Philadelphia Suburbs.

So take a break from the mass-produced food in the Dining Commons and head out to the Main Line for a low budget meal, perfect for college students!
