Osaka

You know you are at a good Japanese Restaurant when you walk in and see Japanese people eating there. From the moment you walk through the door, Osaka gives prospective diners a great first impression and certainly does not disappoint.

Osaka is a small sushi bar located on Lancaster Avenue about five minutes by car from Eastern’s campus. It offers a relaxed, low-key atmosphere with a stylish-yet-traditional Japanese dining room. The walls are actually made of thick paper just like traditional Japanese buildings.

Prices range from $4 for soup to $16 for entrees at lunchtime, but from $5 to $32 at dinner.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is terrific. Among the mouth-watering items on the menu are Pork Katasu, Tempura Udon, and 3 Roll Maki sushi. Osaka offers an incredible amount of food for your money: the Pork Katsu, for example, comes with a pork cutlet, a large serving of sticky rice, two dumplings, three sushi pieces, a salad, and a small bowl of mizo soup, all for just $8. You will leave Osaka very full and very satisfied.
