Men’s soccer (5-2-0 MAC)

Following an exciting overtime win from the Eastern men’s soccer team in the semifinals on November 2, the #2-seeded Eagles fell to the top-seeded DeSales University in the MAC Championship finals Saturday, November 6. The final score of the game was 3-0. The Eagles let in all three of the goals in the first half.

Cross Country

Long before both soccer teams, field hockey and volleyball had their semi-final matches, Cross Country ran in their MAC championship meet on October 30 at Delaware Valley. Although Elizabethtown College won both the men’s and women’s titles, Eastern’s teams pulled their weight. The men finished in 9th place and the women finished in 11th place.

Women’s soccer (6-1-0 MAC)

The stage was set for Eastern’s women’s soccer team to win against Manhattanville on November 3. At the end of the first half, it seemed certain that the Eagles would win, with the scoreboard reading 2-0 in Eastern’s favor. Volleyball (7-0 MAC)

Was anyone really surprised when Eastern’s volleyball team won the Freedom championships on November 6? Well, perhaps the visiting FDU-Florham Devils were shocked when the Eagles sent them packing after three sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-10), shutting them out of the NCAA tournament with a 3-0 win. Field hockey (7-0 MAC)

Even though the weather was chilly, Eastern’s field hockey team came onto the field burning to beat the visiting King’s on November 6. The Eagles heated up the turf and torched the Monarchs with a 3-0 win, securing their spot in the first round of the NCAA tournament on November 10. Best part: Saturday’s game
