     The Eastern Women’s Basketball team started off the 2016 season with three consecutive wins. In the season opener against Eagle Road-rival Cabrini University, the Eagles won by a score of 59-53. Their first loss came from Messiah College; however, the Eagles were able to recover from the loss and pick up another win

EU Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams Eager to Begin Fresh Season

Men’s Basketball      With nine upperclass students on the roster, EU Men’s Basketball will enter the 2016-17 season with much experience. Coach Eric McNelley will return for his second season with the team. In McNelley’s first season the Eagles finished with an overall record of 11-14 and went 6-8 in the MAC Freedom Conference.

     On Oct. 25, sophomore Jacob Meyers of EU Men’s Soccer was named the Division III Player of the Week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. On Oct. 19, the Eagles defeated Wilkes University by a score of 7-0, which was followed by yet another shut out against King’s College on Oct.
