In Zimbabwe, poverty, hunger and AIDS kill approximately 3,500 of the 12.5 million citizens daily. Thirty-five percent of the population has HIV/AIDS. Five percent of the nation is employed. Eighty percent of the people do not receive an education. The country’s political history is a narrative of conflict and strife.

How to help

Since 2004, the Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation has taken action against the nation’s turmoil. ZBF aims to relieve poverty and sickness and to advance education in Zimbabwe. Its work focuses not only on providing for immediate needs, but also on building sustainable communities. Visit www.zbf.org.uk for more information of ZBF’s work and to donate to the cause.
