Wayne theater hosts free movies

As college students, the search for a Friday night activity on an empty wallet is not something new. But we all know it is hard to find fun for free.

There is hope, however. The Anthony Wayne Theater hosts a free movie every first Friday of the month. Fittingly, October’s feature film is Rob Zombie’s “The Devil’s Rejects.” The 2005 film follows a family of psychopathic killers. For those in the mood for the perfect Halloween flick, the Anthony Wayne Theater is the place for you.

If you are a movie viewer with a weak stomach, do not be discouraged from taking advantage of this opportunity. The movies played on first Fridays come from all genres, with films played in the past like, “10 Things I Hate About You” and “The Patriot.”

The Anthony Wayne Theater is located just over a mile from campus, and it is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafes, so you can easily grab a late dinner before the movie.

While free movies at the Anthony Wayne Theater are not to be missed, they are definitely not for everyone. For those that dislike fun and excitement of any kind, staying in your dorm room all night would be a better choice. Better yet, start studying for that test in two weeks, and make sure none of your friends bother you.

For the rest of you, head to the Anthony Wayne Movie Theater, every first Friday at 11 p.m., and have a blast!
