College is all about finding something fun to do with friends that does not cost a lot of money. On Saturday, September 29th, there’s something free and interesting to do at Valley Forge Historical Park. The Founders’ Day Festival is a colonial-themed family event that is fun for college students, too. There is good food, a dog show, pumpkins, used books and a bake sale. In addition, there’s a flea market featured on the chapel grounds.

This event is held at the Washington Memorial Chapel located on Valley Forge Road, a short drive from Eastern’s campus. The historical chapel, built in honor of George Washington and the patriots’ sacrifice, will also be holding tours of the chapel and carillon.

The hours of the event arefrom 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Make sure to visit this colonial festival for a fun weekend activity!
