Although it’s not exactly walking distance, this unique market is certainly worth the mere fifteen minute drive. Embedded in the midst of a rather decent sized shopping center, this particular market is easy to find.
Trader Joe’s is bursting with color, and feels more like a small family owned market than a massively successful food chain. Each associate greets you with a smile in their colorful, Hawaiian shirt and is even willing to strike up conversation at the register or free sample bar. Yes, there really is an entire counter devoted to free samples such as various coffee flavors, unique fruits and much more.
All the products found at Trader Joe’s are unique to say the least. Walking around this store is certainly not boring as you’ll find organic, gluten free and vegan foods that your local Acme would never carry.
For such unique food that would normally be considered expensive, this store is very reasonably priced. Prices ranged from $1.99 to $6.99, depending on what you are looking for. Notable products include fresh ready-made sushi, pre-cut fruit and veggies and tubs of amazing chocolate chip cookies.
Hours: Mon-Sun 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
