An innumerable number of awards adorning the red and white tiled walls of Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries proclaim the goodness of this family friendly diner.

The diner is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and offers quality food at reasonable prices with speedy service.

The diner serves various types of hamburgers and cheeseburgers, which can be purchased in two sizes: little or regular.

The little burger is anything but, as it is very filling and can be topped with any combination of 14 different toppings, which are all free. They offer some very original options such as jalapeno peppers, A-1 Sauce, green peppers and hot sauce.

They also offer alternatives to burgers such as hot dogs, which I thoroughly enjoyed. For vegetarians, they offer a vegetarian dog or a grilled cheese.

Their fries, which can be ordered in either Five Guys style or Cajun, were very filling. A large size, which is only $3.79, was more than my family of four could finish.

To add to the relaxed and casual dining experience, tables contain metal tins of shelled peanuts to enjoy while you wait for the food to be cooked.

The wait for the food was very short, and the food is very reasonably priced. Lunch for the four of us, which included three burgers, a hotdog, an order of large fries and four drinks, only cost $25, and we all left feeling very full.

Five Guys is a good choice for college students because it offers both low prices, and includes free refills. Five Guys uses only fresh ground beef and cooks their food in peanut oil, which is a healthier alternative to other fatty oils.

A meal for one person at Five Guys, which would be a little burger, fries and drink, would cost between $6 and $8.
