Third time around and still going strong:

Kea-Guffin earned their third consecutive Super Bowl win against Gough, Doane and Commuters last Sunday at 3 p.m., 35-0. Amidst the chants of “Olé!” from their faithful fans, KG took immediate control of the game, rushing GDC with ruthless efficiency and a take-no-prisoners attitude on defense.

Sophomore Abby Briggs ran in the first touchdown, followed closely by a touchdown pass from first-year Jacqueline Frisch to sophomore Lindsey Moosey. KG’s third was a run by sophomore Lauren Stoltzfus, followed by a trick play where senior Julie Meck stepped in at quarterback and connected with Moosey for the fourth touchdown. The final tally was the result of a long pass from Frisch to Meck.

Meck was given the game ball for her PowderPuff prowess from fellow senior Head Coach Taylor Kiser. Meck, Kiser, senior Courtney Bender and junior Bethany Skinner have been a part of all three of KG’s Super Bowl victories.
