Leading Actress: Glenn Close is nominated for “Albert Nobbs,” Viola Davis for “The Help,” Rooney Mara for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” Meryl Streep for “The Iron Lady” and Michelle Williams for “My Week With Marilyn.”

Actress in a Supporting Role: Bérénice Bejo, Jessica Chastain, Melissa McCarthy, Janet McTeer and Octavia Spencer.

Leading Actor: Brad Pittfor his role in “Moneyball,” Gary Oldman for “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” “Demián Bichir for “A Better Life,” George Clooney for “The Descendants” and Jean Dujardin for “The Artist.”

Actor in a Supporting Role : Kenneth Branagh, Jonah Hill, Nick Nolte, Christopher Plummer and Max von Sydow.

Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” is the predicted winner in the categories of Best Film and Best Director, with 11 nominations. “The Artist” is a close second with 10 nods.
