While baseball hasn’t been Eastern’s strong point in the past, this season’s team plans to surprise everyone with the skills they’ll learn in Ft. Pierce, Fla., during the spring tournament. The team will play ten games over a week’s period while learning valuable training exercises.

Coach Curley has been pleased with the team’s work ethic and has shown optimism in the team’s ability to win this season.

“I think that we have a very good shot of making the playoffs,” Curley said. With more pitchers on the team the possibilities of winning more games than were lost last season are good, according to Curley.

As for the season’s best players, look out for seniors Kenny Long, Davis Murray and Mike Santello. All three guys will be big playmakers during the upcoming season.
