1. Saints vs. Jets,
    Oct. 4, 1 p.m.

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? The world will find out when Drew Brees meets the Jets’ defense.

As of week two, the Jets have not given up a single offensive touchdown. They have held opposing offenses to a league’s best, 241 yards a game and an average of only eight points.

Drew Brees is the front-runner for the ‘09 MVP award and is averaging 4.5 touchdowns and 334.5 yards a game.

2. Vikings vs. Packers
Oct. 5, 8:30 p.m.

Brett Favre will finally play against the Packers in this divisional showdown. Beyond the media hype of Brett Favre playing against his former team, the game has serious implications for both teams’ season (as far as a week four game goes).

Don’t count Chicago out, but right now these two teams are the front-runners of the NFC North.

What to watch for:

How will Favre’s new team fare against a legitimate NFL squad, having played his first three games against teams with a combined ‘08 record of 11-37?

Can Aaron Rodgers finally put a stop to any remaining doubts that the Packers made the right decision to stick with him? Since Favre’s departure Rodger’s passer rating has been nearly ten points higher (93.04 vs. 84.24) with approximately a million less interceptions (9 less interceptions).
