Undergraduate graduation will occur on Saturday, May 10, at 10:00 a.m. on Eastern’s auxiliary field. Students, friends and family alike will gather to celebrate the accomplishments and bright futures of the class of 2008 containing nearly 300 eager seniors.

This year’s keynote graduation speaker is Dr. Randall Balmer, a professor of religious history at Barnard College.

Dr. Balmer has taught at various academic institutions including Yale and Princeton, and he also serves as an editor for the religious magazine Christianity Today. He has written and collaborated on several books and articles and has been widely recognized for his work Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory: A Journey into the Evangelical Subculture in America, which garnered him an Emmy nomination, according to the Barnard Web site.

Anticipation for the event is high as Eastern looks forward to sending another successful group of graduates into the world.
