Okay, I’ll admit it – I saw maybe 30 seconds of this movie on T.V. once, and I had nightmares for weeks. True, I’m not the bravest person on the planet, but still, just thinking about that closet Michael pops out of gives me the shivers.

3. “Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984):

And then there’s Freddy. Who could forget the clawed killer who haunts your nightmares? Because no one can, he makes this list. That and the 2010 remake actually wasn’t that bad.

4. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993):

Hey, we were alive for this one! Although Tim Burton’s animated film may not seem so scary, just remember this: Oogie Boogie is made of bugs. Eww…

5. “Paranormal Activity” (2007):

The horror movie that surprised everyone. No one would have thought this film would do as well as it did, and now its sequel is in theaters, offering more “activities” for viewers to see.
