Get into the spirit of Fall: Decorate your door! Inexpensive decorations can be found in dollar stores, craft stores or your local pharmacy. You can even make them yourself! Here are a few ideas to make your living space festive.

). Fall-themed garland—Make everyone who walks by take a second look. Fall-themed garlands embellished with leaves or pumpkins can be found in dollar stores, and you can use them to trim your door or cork board. It’s flashy and attractive!

). Use Pictures—Do you have a favorite picture of your family on a hayride from when you were little? Or one of your little sister jumping into a pile of leaves? Post them on your door and reminisce about your memories from Autumns past!

). The Real Thing—When more leaves start to fall, find some colorful ones and tape them to your door! And once it gets closer to Halloween and Thanksgiving, put a pumpkin by your door for another touch of the season.

). The Spirit of Halloween—Get festive for Halloween by lining your door with black and orange crêpe paper. Get fake spider webs and string them across the door’s surface for a creepy look. Halloween stores also sell welcome mats that howl and cackle when you step on them. Scare your friends and your roommate by letting them find out for themselves! You can even get some friends together to carve pumpkins. Put them proudly on your display and you’ll make all your hall-mates jealous. Maybe you’ll even inspire them to have some Fall spirit of their own!
