When Eastern’s Habitat for Humanity chapter held the “Act! Speak! Build! Week” last April – raising funds, writing letters to officials regarding housing and building homes in Philadelphia – they would have never guessed that their efforts would win recognition from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
On September 20, Delaware County Representative William Adolf helped give Habitat for Humanity an award signed by members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. As an added bonus, September 20 was recognized as “Eastern’s Charter of Habitat for Humanity Day.”
