Eastern benefactor featured in Radnor Library Black History Month display

The front entrance of Radnor Memorial Library in Wayne features a display case titled, “A Tribute to Mazie Hall,” which contains a collection of photos, newspaper clippings, and other artifacts representing the woman who is described as a poet, collector of black history and a community activist. The design was created by Joy Dlugosz, the reader services librarian at Warner Library. According to the display, Hall lived in Mt. Pleasant and was a teacher at Powell Elementary School in Camden, N.J. She donated a collection of more than 600 books on African-American history and culture to Warner Library.
