Women’s Golf Finishes a Stroke Above the Rest

The women’s golf team has had some fantastic performances this fall under rookie coach Jason Badecki.  Despite missing senior Sarah Webb and sophomore Elayna Simpson to field hockey and soccer respectively, the team has pressed on with their five remaining players.  Coach Badecki has said that the team looks promising this fall and is excited for the spring season to come around.  The girls hit their highest note at the Ursinus Invitational at Raven’s Claw Golf Club.  The team shot a combined score of 376 in a tight contest, finishing only a stroke ahead of second place Franklin and Marshall.  Freshman Taylor Lee posted a team leading score of 88 while junior Kaleigh Boreman scored the next lowest at 93.  Coach Badecki has high hopes for both players this fall, especially Lee.  “She (Lee) will only be better come Spring season,” he said, “it was tough for her this fall being her first season of college golf and adjusting to life on the east coast away from home” (Lee is from Corona, California).  Badecki has also said that the team has not played their best golf yet, meaning the best is yet to come for these girls.
