The Eastern Eagles field hockey team currently finds themselves on the outside looking in when it comes to making the conference playoffs. They have two games left in the regular season. They dropped a 4-3 decision on Oct. 25 at Manhattanville College and will have wrapped up the regular season by Oct. 28. The Eagles will need to win both games in order to have a chance at making the conference playoffs. As of right now the Eagles have a 7-9 record and a 2-3 record. The Eagles have just lost their last two games. Those two games could end up being very costly if they do not win their next two games. However before this two game losing streak the Eastern Eagles won two games in a row, One win against Swarthmore and the other win against Misericordia. The Eastern Eagles have had many bright spots during this season, and many players who played extremely well. Alexa Borrelli and Megan Bolton both lead the team in goals with seven goals. The Eastern Eagles have a total of 36 goals this season. Gina Miller leads the team in assists with six this season. The Eagles also have three seniors on their team, who will be trying to win their last two regular season games as college athletes: Borelli, Rachel Lehman, and Hannah Bartholomew. Most of the Eastern Eagles field hockey team will be returning next year, which is a very positive thing. Look for the Eastern Eagles to give it all they have in their next two games and possibly make it into the conference tournament. If they make it in, look for the Eastern Eagles to make some noise in the Conference tournament.
