Thoughts of snow are being washed away with April showers as dreams of blooming new life fill the air; it is time to announce the annual Spring Dance Concert, presented by Eastern University’s dance department.

Since the beginning of the semester, Eastern’s dance students and faculty have been exploring the many avenues of performance and expression and have put together the selections to be showcased. Students and faculty have choreographed every piece in the concert. Drawing on inspiration from their everyday walk, the selections have been thoroughly arranged to reflect the emotions of those featured in the performances.

The concert will be held in McInnis auditorium on Friday April 29 and Saturday April 30 at 8PM and on Sunday May 1 at 3PM. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for students and seniors and $5 with an Eastern ID.

“This year the faculty and students were inspired by the joy and newness that comes each year at springtime,” said Dr. Karen Clemente, chair of the dance department, in a recent release. “The wholeness of life is captured in all its intricacies, through the choreography and the performances of our students and faculty and is meant to move, inform, remind and inspire the audience. I am really proud of the hard work that went into this year’s Spring Dance Concert and the outcome that we can all enjoy.”
