There are just a few games left in the Fall Sports schedule. One of the sports still in season is
Womens’ Soccer and Coach Dan Mouw and the rest of the team are excited to once again be in the playoffs. The Eagles’ overall record so far is 10-5-2 and their Conference record is 5-1. Their only conference loss was to particularly a tough opponent, Misericordia University. The Eastern Eagles battled the Cougars of Misericordia to a 2-1 loss. This tie at the end of regulation forced an overtime period and The Eagles lost just 14 seconds into overtime. Team spirit, however, was not affected. “It was a tough loss, especially because we were better than them and it is our last weekend home game as seniors,” Eagles forward Tess Beckwith said. “I guess we will have to meet them in the conference playoffs and crush them when it really counts!” The Eagles’ first playoff game (TBD) is at home. This will be a rematch against Wilkes University. Come to Olsen Field and cheer them on!
