“I loved Eastern University,” Coach Matt Nadelhoffer said. “I’ll miss all of the people at Eastern, my colleagues, the area and my team.” Nadelhoffer said. He recently resigned as head coach for the Eastern University men’s basketball team. His family will be heading back to home grounds for him now that he has taken the head-coaching job at Milliken University in Illinois.
These stomping grounds are where Nadelhoffer played basketball during his collegiate career.In his nine years at Eastern, he compiled a record of 119-113,”There are a lot of great memories and moments at Eastern that I will hold close to my heart.” Nadelhoffer said.
His wife Rebecca Nadelhoffer will get to make the transition from a professor and a cheerleading coach to a stay at home mom.”It’s something new and I am excited to get plugged into the community and be closer to some long time college friends,” Mrs. Nadelhoffer said.
They both came to Eastern at the same time and are thankful for having had the opportunities to teach and coach.”Eastern gave us a spark in our careers at a young age and Eastern is a special place because the people make it what it is,” Mrs. Nadelhoffer said.
