Men’s lacrosse is ready for anything – or that was at least the idea behind their midnight practice.
It was a night that was meant to push all the players to the limit so that no matter what the game situation was, it would be easier than that practice they made it through.
During the practice, buckets were set up for players whose bodies were pushed to the limit, specifically their stomach. When the practice was over, nearly a third of the team had taken advantage of the service the buckets offered.
The physical toughness provided by the practice was good, but the real purpose was mental toughness and focus.
After losing last year in the playoffs to Messiah, a team they had beaten soundly during the regular season, Head coach Brandon Childs was looking to improve his team’s mental toughness.
