Eastern University men’s lacrosse team is focused. If you watch a practice, you can feel the players’ intensity.

The Eagles finished 10-6 overall with a 9-2 record in the Freedom Conference in 2011. Their dreams of the NCAA tournament were cut short due to a tough loss in the MAC quarterfinal to Elizabethtown. Last year’s team, which only lost three seniors, is focused and ready for this season.

“I’m looking forward to growing closer with my team and winning a lot of games,” AJ Ryan said. New head coach Chris Wallace also looks forward to continued successes for the men’s lacrosse team.

“Our goal at this point is to win a MAC championship,” Wallace said. “It will always be our goal until it is accomplished.”

Last year, the Eagles were led by Chris Farrar with 23 goals. Matt Soldano was second on the team with 21 goals and Will Johnson rounded out the top three with 16 goals and 15 assists.

With season quickly approaching, make sure to mark your calendars: On March 13, come out and support your Eagles in their first home game against Utica College.
