On April 24, The Honors Council, representing the Templeton Honors College, organized a Jeopardy event to raise money for RISE International, an organization that works to rebuild schools and provide education in Angola, a country in south-central Africa. According to Ann Willis, a recruitment liason for the Honors Council, “The final count from ticket, popcorn and raffle sales for the evening was well over $200.” She said that donations may still come in. She also said the Jeopardy may occur annually. The Drs. Dwight and Margaret Peterson, representing the Christian studies department, were the champions of the evening. Other participants included youth ministry professor Duffy Robbins, Director of Career and Leadership Development Tess Bradley, biokinetics professor Trish Reger and University Chaplain Joe Modica, to name just a few.
