The dreaded finals week is descending upon us. Christmas break is just around the corner, and now it is all we can think about. It is good to be working hard, but it is also good to take a break from all that studying to refresh yourself and spend time with friends. Here are five study break ideas to use as needed:
Caffeine Boost: Why not try the Gryphon Café? It is right in Wayne and offers an inviting atmosphere. You will feel relaxed by the warm yellow walls and cozy tables and chairs. Bring some friends or just take a break by yourself and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
Diner Date: Sick of Sodexo? Home-cooked meals too far off on the horizon? Grab a bunch of friends and head to Minellas. It is cheap and open 24/7 to satisfy those midnight cravings. Enjoy time with friends while eating chicken fingers, breakfast for dinner or even a brownie sundae.
Retail Therapy: The King of Prussia Mall is minutes away, just waiting to satisfy all your shopping needs. Get a head start on Christmas shopping or treat yourself to a few new items for your winter wardrobe. The thought of studying will be out of your head in no time.
Game Break: Why not focus on some video games for awhile? Choose your favorite game or pick up Skyrim a little earlier than planned. Play with some friends for some good competition.
Fresh Air: Take a walk around Eastern’s beautiful campus or head into the community. Make sure to bundle up, grab a cup of coffee from the Jammin’ Java and refresh yourself with the crisp air. By the time you get back to studying, you will feel rejuvenated and ready to continue doing your work.
There are many other things you could do, but here are some things to get you off campus. Remember to use these wisely and to keep pressing on. Christmas break will be here before you know it.
