There are many baseball players who are well-distinguished and have made a name for themselves. However, there are few who make an impact to the game. Lawrence Peter “Yogi” Berra was one of those players. Yogi was selected in 1972 as a first round Hall of Famer. He won 13 World Series Championships and caught for many legendary pitchers. Yogi was the definition of an American catcher, and no one could play his position as he did. After he retired from baseball he moved on to be the Yankees, Mets, and Astros head coach. You will not find any baseball resume that could compare to what Yogi had accomplished. Yogi has moved on as of Sept. 22, 2015. Yogi Berra, you will be missed.
