“I used to own a restaurant in Berwyn. I always wanted to have a restaurant, and it just so happened that a place opened up, so I decided to go look at it. I went downtown, bought a set of tables and chairs and committed myself before I even signed the lease. It was called Patty Mac’s, and we served breakfast and lunch for fifteen years. Also, I’m 59, and I have seven grandchildren. I have over 800 pictures of them on my phone.” -- Patty from Sodexo

“I graduated from here in 2014, and we met in Denmark on study abroad in 2012. He went to Claremont McKenna in California. We were at the same school in Denmark but on different programs, and it was a group of American and Danish students. Basically, I picked up a man in Denmark.” -- Rebecca Sheeler-Duncan and Ben Baker

“I was 16 when I got my first car. It was a Jeep Wrangler, and my dad and I fixed it up. That’s how I learned how to work on cars...I’ve been milking this thing for months, and it finally blew last Saturday...I’m going to try to see if I can get her going.” -- Jake Bancroft

“We’ve lived on St. David’s Avenue since 1993, and when our daughters were younger, we had babysitters from Eastern. They were the best babysitters ever, and my daughter was in one of our babysitter’s weddings. We love your college.” -- Janie and David Partridge

“Theresa Noye and I always say we should write a book. It would be a bestseller because of all the student antics. Oh, and in 25 years of working here, I’ve never made it into the Waltonian.” -- Heidi Birtwhistle

“In 2003, I was working in Doane, and there was an awesome person there. Her name was Heather. She was always asking me always how I was doing and if I needed anything. For a special day like Thanksgiving and Christmas, she would always do some decoration on the walls for me.” “How long have you been at Eastern?” “Well, I took a break from working here for the past few years, and I just started again on Wednesday.” -- Lourdes Colon
