St. Martin’s to Host Benefit Concert for Iraqi Christians

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church of Radnor will be holding a concert to raise funds to benefit Christians fleeing ISIS-held territory in Iraq. The event, called iROCK4IRAQ 2016, will be hosted in conjunction with the organization Stand With Iraqi Christians. Proceeds will be sent to a refugee camp in Erbil, Kurdistan, in northern Iraq. The idea for the concert came from  the Rev. Christopher Bishop, Rector of St. Martin’s and Executive Director of Stand With Iraqi Christians. Bishop has made several short trips to Erbil in the last year to deliver aid and to film on-site for his short documentary “Where Is Our Place?”, co-produced with Andrew Bilindabagabo (Templeton Honors College ‘14).

The concert will be held outdoors at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, located at 400 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, Pa. 19087, on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 4-7 p.m. Featured musical guests will include Philadelphia-area indie bands Simon Benegas, Palatine, Chuck Eustace, Just Beto and Under the Oak.

Ticket prices, which include admission and a beverage, are as follows:

$20 pre-sale

$25 at the door

$10 with a student ID

Free for children under 12
