EU’s Enactus Team Wins Regionals

Eastern University’s Enactus team, a business club focused on entrepreneurial action in the school and local community, recently won their regional competition. This competition is a nationwide event at which Enactus teams from colleges showcase their community outreach efforts. Our Enactus team participated this year in a virtual regional competition. The team created a video presentation explaining the positive impact the team has had within the Eastern community and surrounding area schools.

Fundraising efforts are an important part of the Enactus club. The money they raise allows the team to be able to help financially with Haiti relief, child hunger prevention and the betterment of Eastern University’s campus. Events such as Eagle Discount Cards, Enactus Boxes, Valentines Rose Sale and Homecoming aid in these efforts.

Enactus also focuses on the betterment of middle and high schools around the area. By building relationships with East Norriton Middle School, Lancaster County Christian School and Delaware County Christian School, the team encourages creative thinking at a young age.

At Eastern University the team hosts a Shark Tank event. This night mirrors the ABC television show in which entrepreneurial students at Eastern University compete and present their business ideas to a panel of local business experts. Students contend for a cash prize in front of their peers during one of the largest and most popular on-campus events.

Congratulations to the Enactus team members for their dedication to the improvement of Eastern University and for their victory at regionals!
